About the Author

From Needle to Pen:
Marc Vincent, born into a working-class family in northern Finistère, traded his acupuncture needles and physiotherapy equipment for the writer’s pen. At just thirteen, he embarked on his first solo journey to Germany, driven by an insatiable curiosity for world cultures. Since his expatriation in 1979, he has explored over 50 countries across three continents. A polyglot with degrees in German literature, physiotherapy, and traditional Chinese medicine, he has practiced in both Europe and Asia, navigating physical ailments and the depths of human suffering — weaving a destiny as unpredictable as a novel of adventure.
Objects and books discovered at the Dadiani Palace in Georgia inspired the author’s first historical fiction novel. She weaves a captivating tale in which family secrets and historical mysteries intertwine, carrying the reader from the 19th to the 20th century across Alpine landscapes and Georgian palaces.
Drawing inspiration from his extensive travels, readings, and encounters, he delves deeply into the human soul. For him, the hero is a bold explorer of his own inner abyss, confronting personal demons, striving to break free from prejudices and fears imposed by official dogma. His path is often lonely and steep, yet he braves criticism and external storms. It is through this journey that he discovers an essential truth: changing the world begins with changing oneself. True freedom lies not in the absence of constraints, but in the conscious power to choose — and to take responsibility for those choices.
As expressed in La Vie through the book Le Signe: “The truth is, the world must change” — a transformation that begins within each of us before radiating outward into fraternal communities, shaped like Small Sovereign and Confederated Units, founded on mutual respect, cooperation, and fraternal love.
Marc Vincent thus invites his readers to begin their own inner journey, while savoring the rich historical and cultural landscapes he brings to life.
